I knew it was going to be a busy morning on the water but holy crap! I counted 16 yaks in the surf this morning, not counting myself plus several bay boats just offshore.
I finally found something to bend a rod in the kayak about 3 miles SBH. Pretty sure I'm hooked on the little plastic boats now. What a blast.
Didn't get any pictures as I'm not rigged to haul fish around in it yet, nor do I have a waterproof camera. There were tons of small smacks, skipjack and oh yeah... that tarpon that put on an aerial display 30 yards away.
Water is cooler than I expected and not exactly clear that far north. Hoping conditions are continuing to improve as you get further south. |

Come by the house when you get some time and i'll fix you up with some toothy critter wire and a few things to drag behind your plastic boat.  |
