Thanks Scott that means a lot . For those that don't know what this is about today I have put down a GREAT DOG and family member. Bambam is the best. He will be missed forever. I have done this many times in my life but this one is a heart killer. _________________ I LIKE MINE FRIED.

It really hurts. Many of us have been there more than once. After some time your intense sadness will be replace by fond memories of all the great times you had together. We tend to pour all our love into these animals that we know have a much shorter life span than ours, much shorter than we wish they did but we do it anyway.
My heart goes out to you.
You will have a huge hole in your heart that will need filling some day. You cannot replace a loyal companion but you will know when it's time to fill that hole in your heart.
God bless. |

| I'm sorry to hear about Bam Bam, Stan. I know what you're feeling having to have my number one fishing partner, Kokopelli, put down this past year. although not physically there Bam Bam will always be there in heart and mind. |

He was a great dog and domain protecter and loyal to the end. I almost feel I betrayed him but it was medically the best thing. Thank you my friends for your feelings it really does help. _________________ I LIKE MINE FRIED. |

| I cried like a little girl when I had to ease my sweet Max's pain, still gets me choked up, so I know where you're coming from. Hope you're able to find something,(or some puppy) to ease the pain. Good luck, buddy |

Everybody has a 'story' fitting to help ease your pain, but none of them really work. Same for me. It sucks. No two ways about it.
maxthelab mentioned that he hopes you get a puppy. After my experience I made a point of not wanting to get another dog, but as fate will have it, one found me. An American Dingo that I would not trade the world for, so eventually it does get better. |

I feel for you Stan, been there twice myself with super, unforgettable life partners. Doing the dead is the hardest thing that I've ever done, but when your poor old friend has no life quality left, it IS the correct and humane thing to do, although it sure doesn't feel that way at the time......
All the best to you and your family, and hope the pain starts fading sooner than later pal. _________________ Dave

Sorry for your loss. We have been through it a couple of times. It is never easy, but time will heal, some. Enjoy the memories.
When I lost my beloved Chesapeake Bay Retriever, "Laguna Madre's Ace Scout", I thought I would never get through it. After about two months I decided to get another Chessie, "Finn". It helped me, tremendously, to have a puppy around and start focusing on him.
Being a bird hunter, a friend suggested I read a book,

Same here, went 6 mos. without even wanting another one and a guy I work with brought his last lab pup by the station, may as well been a circle hook, got me right in the corner of the mouth. |
