| Haven't fished the coast all year but getting down with my two teens this week ... Can someone give a general area or recommendation for me to take my sons out to hook up on some flat ties? They are gung ho about landing some and any suggestions and tips appreciated- PM if necessary |

| I'd wade up and down packery and look for drains. Fish a carolina rigged live shrimp or mud minnow. cover a lot of ground, throw parallel to the shoreline, or edge of rocks closer to the jetties. |

Thank you sir!
Are you referring to the Packery jetties inside JPLuby? Or the hole near 361 under the bridge? |

any of it. Although with that cold water upwelling, I'm not sure if that has pushed the flounder out of there. it would still be a place to try. There are almost always flounder at packery, you just have to be persistent. might start just east of billings bait, and work your way down. There are some drains on the other side of the channel just down from billings that would be good, you would need a kayak or small boat to get over there though. |

Catch a hard falling tide and throw gulps around flats that connect to narrow channels. The flounder have been stacked up!! _________________ Come out & gig some flounder with Straight to The Point Guide Service!! http://floundergiggin.com/ for more info

| Cold water probably pushed a bunch of fish out. Nueces Bay is probably holding a bunch of fish these days. |

| I was at that spot yesterday. Flatties are still there. I caught two and lost a bunch on white shrimp tails. I am still trying to figure out how to keep them hooked. The two I caught spit the hook as soon as they hit the bank. I was there from 5 to 7 PM. |
