During the day, the tide went out strong most of the day. Sharks biting shrimp on end of pier.
At night starting around midnight, the tide started coming in strong. Black drum, whiting and catfish hit peeled shrimp in first lights closest to beach.

Yes, the cold upwelling has affected the fishing, but they're still biting in certain places. Fishing in the surf last week was better until the dark, cold water showed up Sunday. We were throw-netting tons of baitfish and mullet on Saturday & Sunday. On Monday morning, there was no bait in the surf during the morning and day as the tide went out. It seemed that the bait and fish had pulled out off the beach about 100 yards. The Pelicans and other birds were going crazy offshore diving crazily and feeding. The change in water clarity overnight amazed me. Clear Sunday; Monday, I couldn't see my orange shoes 4 inches under the water.

Thanks looks like the fishing was better than I thought it would be. It looked pretty nasty out there Sunday afternoon.
