Gents Sitting in the hill country and reading most all of the discussions daily that maintain a fresh thread on the day, For the last 3 years has entertained me greatly and taught me more than you can all know. As this is my first post. My entertainment has dwindled in recent light with the addition of the C W upwelling. Scheduled to be there the 23-26. I see most of you all are of the persuasion that it should be off the surf before this time.

My question lies with what will the Surf be like fishing wise when its gone. Can we expect late summer patterns for Trout, Pomp, Red, and Whiting? Im not near the expert that I wish I could be If I could just find a solid Job down there. I do find the plentiful Axis and Paycheck provide a suitable balance. I find my self relying on you guys for my pre trip information that helps me in my preparations, tackle tray selection, and rod arrangement. This way I do not look like a tackle store on the beach, pier, jetties, seawalls and bulkheads.

Welcome! It is too tough to tell right now. Just have a fall back plan if the surf is blown out. You can always fish Yarborough or any other spots on the bay side from Port A Jetties, Packery, etc. I hope the upwelling won't last too long.

I Falling tide in the ship channel should be pretty productive I assume. With out flow of warm bay water and bait following. My best guess would be to focus on the intercoastal and wade points on the causeway. Would this assumption be correct? Im floatless and on foot. Much more familiar with northern mustang and points to the north. Been tempted to attempt packery but have Zero knowledge of the lay outs. Sure a decent boating map would be my best bet for identification of any suggestions.
