My kiddos would like to go tubing on the boat. Anyone know a good area to do so around here. I was thinking in front of bank center and marina area for convenience, but I'm open to any suggestions. [/i]

Rockport ski basin is where we always go. Lots of shaded picnic areas & bbq pits !!! Can't beat it, plus its FREE if u have a boat in tow.

Ski Basin in the North Padre Island canals. Any of the locals can tell you where it's at. Be safe.

Be very careful if you use the Ski Basin area. Last summer a child was seriously injured when he fell of tube and got hit by a boat behind. The area is somewhat notorious for boats being operated by people under the influence...and therefore not being very observant of their surroundings, and the area can be quite crowded, especially on summer weekends.
