Took advantage of this great weather and decided to roll down PINS with my buddy Julian. Driving was great during high and low tide, 2wd was used the whole time. Be cautious of natural debri washing up on shore. Water clarity was awesome. There is some weed present, but did not really factor with the long rods or sharks rods. Small current running from north to south Tons of mullet on the beach but nothing really chasing them. Had little action last night just enjoyed and fire and few cold ones. Today was great, light winds, small surf, plenty of bait. Julian ended with a 62" blacktip, ( tagged and released for The Texas Shark Rodeo). The shark broke the water twice going airborne during the fight !! I had a nice run but didnt hook up. I ended up with a big stingray that went into the cooler/deepfreezer for our next trip![/img] _________________ I'd rather be Fishing! |
