Hail,

From Houston, down in CC Valero working my tail off for weeks, 12 hour days, zero days off. The end is nigh and I'm going to stay over for a couple days to fish.

I have a bow, a gig, lights, and waders. Where ought I to go? Or are there any kayak renters that will allow gigging?

Any help is greatly appreciated. This is the most informative forum that I've ever seen btw.

Id like to add to this post since I'm fairly new to gigging, I've gone a few times recently but don't have much luck, maybe one or two founder a night. Where do you gig for them? On the edges of channels or in the flats? Low tide or high tide or does it matter?

I went wading at Dimitt pier last night but only saw stingrays and junkies. I'm going out tomorrow morning at either deadman's or southbay.

Deadmans is primarily where I go and find a few, but have only been there just after dark. I'll be out this weekend at new spots and will report.. Good luck
