Was returning to CC last week, via United Airlines and we flew right down the coast and was able to get a good look at Cedar Bayou. From what I saw, if it is still open, it is only open by a very small cut on the extreme south side of the opening! It looked to have a sandbar encroaching across most of the mouth. Plus the 'other' cut into Vinson Slough looked completely closed.

But then again, this was from the air.

I wonder if anyone can give us the scoop on the pass's condition from sea level or a shot from the air?

Last picture in that Link was from November. It has changed drastically since then. Heard the main channel to the gulf had moved more south and Vinson's was moving south tool Needs a good bull tide to flush it.
