30 minutes after putting clean clear fresh ethanol in a Mason jar. Water build up in the bottom and still condensation forming on the inside an outside of the jar. It was completely see through at the beginning now you can't see through it at all. The dark area in the bottom is water. I just got finished replacing all my fuel lines. Hopefully this helps you boaters to see what is going on in your fuel tank. Fuel and water separators are a must and any kind of alcohol free fuel treatment is a must.

All of my boats have in line fuel filters and fuel / water separators all fuel is treated with marine sta-bil and separators are replaced at least every 6 months and sometimes this isn't enough . I've had treated fuel go bad in as little as 2 week's , so yeah it's a big issue especially if you don't use your boat frequently . Those are great pictures Stan hope it helps folks realize how fast it can go bad.

I quit running ethanol in anything that might sit for a while. The extra cost of pure unleaded is more than off set with reduced repair costs on boats, chainsaws, weed eaters, etc. I hate that stuff. Wish we had a choice at the pump like they do in Nebraska.
