ok well I have been in a depression since deer season ended but my wife pointed out to me that turkey season has arrived so I have a reason to get out to the ranch. I have only hunted turkeys once and am still pretty damn green when it comes to bagging a gobbler. any one have any helpful advice or tricks to helping me put an arrow through one.

If you are bow hunting them, I'd suggest using a ground blind. Turkeys eyesight is unbelievable at picking up even the slightest movement. Decoys help sometimes. What kind of call will you be using? There are some good YouTube vids that help on calling tricks and techniques. Don't over call and don't quit too early. Ol toms keep creeping around for awhile after the hens leave to go feed by themselves.

Turkeys don't critique your calling. I've heard some old hens that sounded horrible. Box calls and slates require less practice and bring the birds in.
