Great video. 👍 What kind of fish do you think that was that was lost? Maybe a shark or big jack? I'd think shark from the splashes.

Ive been back to that location several times after that video was shot, and whatever it was there must be an abundance of them. I had my drag pulled out on all my Garcia bay rods, to where I just had to cut the line. I didn't have the kayak out during those trips so I was very limited to how far I could wade.

I've heard from a few people that it could be anything from gar, small school of tarpon, nurse shark...I have no idea.

I'll tell you one thing though. Im bringing my btb rigs next year....I'll put a stop to it in 2015

I'd bet the mystery fish was a solid jack.

Have they been known to get back there in Yarborough?

From my experience, yes. However, in my case it was at least 10 years ago, and I was throwing an old Bingo bait and had no leader, so it's hard to compare your experience with mine, but I was immediately cut off upon the bait hitting the water. I absolutely no time to react by changing drag or anything! Love the video, and the excellent editing!
