For the last few years I have been tuning up my reels with Tiburon Frames, Carbon drags, upgraded bearings. I just picked up a Daiwa Millionaire 7HT Mag and don't want to change a thing!!! I think they have made the almost perfect game fish surf reel (no clicker is a bummer ). I have not owned a Daiwa since I had a Sealine 9 O/T back in the 80's. I was all fired up when I opened up the box. The Millionaire Looks and feels light, strong and could cast into the third gut.

I can't go fishing for a few weeks and was wondering if anyone has some reel beach feedback? (no pun intended).

The drag feels around 10# do I need to upgrade to Carbon in case of a Jack Fish attack?

What pound test do you run?

What kind of pole did you put it on?

7ht is a fantastic reel.
I fish mine same as my Garcia 6500's- 15# line on a 10-6 rod.
I have the older non mag version.
