| Weed is rolling in and strong currents. Waves are thick due to winds. Bait is hard to find but still there. Tides were pretty high today. |

Thanks it's that system that formed in the Bay of Campeche after that front.
Forecast:
Tropical Depression Nine is forecast to move east over the next 24 to 36 hours, expected to become Tropical Storm Hanna before making landfall over the Mexican State of Campeche late Wednesday or Wednesday night. The storm will continue to move east into the Caribbean Sea as a tropical depression before becoming post-tropical late Saturday or Saturday night.
South Texas Impacts:
The main impacts for South Texas will be higher surf, swells and possibly a high risk of rip currents over the next couple of days. Based on the expected storm track, drier air will move into South Texas.
Winds: Northeast 10 to 20 mph over the inland coastal areas, and 15 to 20 knots.
Rainfall: The northeast winds will bring drier air to the region, so no rainfall is expected.
Storm Tides: Tide levels may increase to as much as around 1 foot above predicted level. This could result in some tidal overflow and possible brief coastal flooding on some beaches, as tide levels approach 2 feet over a few South Texas beaches around high tide. _________________ Like Corpusfishing.com on Facebook! |
