Went on a fishing retreat this weekend with an organization called Headwaters for Heroes. This organization is amazing. It was put together for Wounded Warriors and multiple combat tour veterans. They put us up in nice little cabins on the river, cooked us amazing food, all that we could eat and took us bow fishing at night and we had a bass tournement during the day. The Hill Country Bass club volunteered to act as our fishing guides and really took care of us. It was at no cost to the soldiers and everyone had a really good time. didn't get many pictures but I'll attach the ones I did get. If your looking to do anything like this, these people are amazing to work with I bet. They also had a good amount of prizes and gifts for the troops and family members, I won a nice abu garcia rod/reel combo, some lures, a 50 dollar gift card and a 3rd place plaque. Everyone went home with something nice. Please, if you feel like helping out they are always trying to put something together. Nevermind I don't know how to attach pictures, their website as well as their facebook page has some good ones of the event tho. WWW.HEADWATERSFORHEROES.COM

Good deal.
For saltwater adventures for Heroes.
Check Out Heroes On the Water - Coastal Bend Chapter. They have an outing once a month on the kayaks. Great coordinator for this area! _________________ Do not argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience. |

Good to see you guys getting your due.
Guess I'm a little jealous and angry, all us Vietnam vets ever got was "Crapped On", and we still are not yet recognized or receiving our due for what we were put through. Where's all the parties, hoopla, and special things for us?? _________________ Now that food has replaced my sex life I can't even get into my own pants!!!!!!!!

I bet it is open to all war vets. My dad and uncle always told me how they got spit on and forgotten. I understand how lucky we are. Completely different way we are treated. Thanks for your service. _________________ Flounder Slayer
