If early teal was an indication of how the season will be, it will be epic. Hit up 3 of my go to places, all had teal and some early big ducks mixed in already. Last year compared to this year so far is looking promising. And I apologize in advance for not saying where I hunt, my secret spots are slowly becoming not so secret lol, but I can say its multiple places in south Texas. Advice for new people, don't be afraid to waste a day during the season to go find birds if they're not where you are at. Most of all be courteous on the water, there's a lot of it around here to hunt...

It should be a good year again this year.

Jerk strings work well around here when ducks have become shy later in the year or to put some motion in the decoys on the dead calm mornings and afternoons.

Ducks are moving. Western Arkansas and Oklahoma have large numbers of new ducks. Should be good news for us.
