Greetings to all of our fishermen and women that enjoy Padre Island National Seashore! This is Ranger Buzz at the Malaquite Visitor Center with a quick reminder that the visitor center is the place to call if you lose any items during your visit to PINS.

There are a lot of honest people out there that turn in a variety of odds and ends that they find on the road or on the beach. Currently a very valuable piece of fishing gear was found by one of the law enforcement rangers and is being held here. It is quite expensive, and as a fisherman myself, if it were mine I would most definitely want it returned. If the item belongs to you, or if you lose anything in the future, the number to call is (361) 949-8069. You are welcome to ask for me but if I am not around any of our other staff should be able to assist you. Please spread the word about our lost and found system since ultimately when things are not claimed they get donated to Goodwill or the Salvation Army. Thanks!

Thanks Tyler, we had a member in a group on Facebook that had such an item go missing during sharkathon. Hopefully they get reunited.
