My buddy just cled and said the rangers were drivin down the beach advising camps to get off the beach cause of the high tides. He said current was ripping from N to S. And weed was as bad as he's seen. Said he talked to other camps and nobody heard of anything caught.

I've heard of two 5 footers caught. 42" red so far. Not sure on its legitimacy.

It was quite a brutal challenge. But, if it were easy everyone would do it. I do think we should all get special "survivor" patches for this year! All is Good.

68 inch black tip won the women's. Not sure about kids. But a mother and daughter won first in the women's and kid's division. I think that's awesome.

Shark fishing is not for the faint of heart and neither were the conditions this weekend.
Tip my hat to ALL contestants.

Im happy to say that my wife took 1st place in the woman's division and my 14 year old daughter took 1st in the kids division.

68" blacktip in the woman's.

44" jackfish in the kids.

Like most know already know it was a brutal weekend. We fished about the 26 all weekend. Even when the water pushed almost to our camp against the dunes we stayed there until this morning good spirits.

My winners brought home...

$3500 in winnings
2 trophies
2 custom rod/reel combos
2 ocean kayaks

I won a guided fishing trip with OZ which is not cheap also. Im happy with that.

Id say a pretty good weekend for us.

Ray
