COMPLETELY UNFISHABLE!!!!!!

there is SO MUCH sargassum that you can't get anything through it....dead stuff on the bottom, live stuff on the top....it's frustrating....I HATE IT when it's like this....

the rain minnow are in the middle of it though, and the skipjacks and smallish 'smacks are working them.....problem is you can't keep lures or bait in the water for more than 2.2 seconds without getting weeded....

sharkathon is going to SUCK if this weed is still around next weekend, and there is SO MUCH of it, I don't see how there's enough time for it to train out of the system....if the winds will stay SE all next week it may be ok....if the winds die, or even just a little bit of North, we are all SCREWED....

I took my daughter there yesterday. We caught skips, hard-heads & these shiny flat fish with yellow tails. We had fun as a family BUT I totally know what you mean.

I read a post that said everyone fishing limited out on reds Wednesday. So that's part of the reason I took my daughter 24 hours later. It was no joke- the rain minnows were in the billions. I talked to 4 people that were there on the 17th at 6:00 PM & caught their limit in an hour. That's why they fans back at 6 PM on the 18th. TOTALLY DIFFERENT!!!!

To be fair, out of the 60 or so people fishing, I saw 3 reds caught.

Which side were you fishing?

What time did you get there this morning?

I saw about 6 slot reds caught yesterday between 4-7 pm. The weed was barely fishable then.... And you're right Becky about sharkathon....
