Accuweather is predicting the North Central States to have frost and possible snow this next week. Is this our first cool front of the year?? Fall is coming!!
"Frost to Hit, Snow Possible in Parts of North Central States
Friday, September 05, 2014 10:28 ET
By Alex Sosnowski, senior meteorologist.
A strong push of autumnlike air will invade the North Central states later next week and will bring the risk of frost, as well as the chance of a bit of snow to some locations.
The chilliest air since last spring will push southward from Canada and across the northern and central Plains, Midwest and the eastern slopes of the Rockies, prior to the middle of September."
Highs predicted for next weekend (Sept 13/14) to be in mid 70's with lows in low 60's. _________________ Gary J

Gosh...does this mean that Bill Vessey can declare "hurricane season is over"?
I guess it is time to break out the polartech and long johns!
No wait.....there is a wave coming off the coast of Africa and is headed to our area in the next week or so. I just took my storm shutters down from the last threat, emptied the gas from the generators, drank all my bottled water and used up my powdered milk.
Dang!!! _________________ Mike |

With all this "Global Warming" we haven't been getting it appears the weather is as always "A Big Carp Shoot", or as my dad used to say "It is going to clear up cloudy and we are going to have a warm frost". OR WAS IT DRY RAIN OR WHATEVER.
I have no knowledge of whom Bill Vessey is - does he commentate for ESPN or something??
I do know I just looked out my window and it is raining. Best forecast available. _________________ Gary J

When I grow up I want to be a weatherman......get paid for consistently being wrong ain't a bad way to make a $!
Bill is a local weatherman in Corpus for Channel 3 and he likes to declare hurricane season over and done when we get our first "cold front" through the Coastal Bend!
Wouldn't you know it. Weather forecast for morning showers around us every day this week and NADA. I decide to go out for some fishing this AM and BAM...we got quite a nice shower for an hour or so(on and off).
We badly need the rain but it just seems to go over or around us here in the Fulton area. Maybe this fall! _________________ Mike |
