One of my buddy's had a very bizarre occurrence yesterday afternoon. Heading back into town from the island, he had his surf board strapped to the top of his ford focus like he always has. Right before the Paul Jones exit he heard what sounded like a gun shot. Turns out the straps holding his surf board finally gave away, launching the board. He pulled over almost immediately but did not see the board anywhere. He didn't see cars swerving, stopped or anything of the sort so his first thought was that it might've flown off onto the feeder road. He took Ennis Joslin exit and did the turn around but still didn't see it or anyone stopped. He probably made the loop upwards of 10 times each time taking a different route. No clue what happened but he never found it. Only occlusion is that while he was making the first loop somebody must've grabbed it off the feeder road or median.

If anybody has any information he would greatly appreciate it. I can get specifics but all I know is that it is a 9'6" custom that he got years ago in California. He's going to call Wind and Wave tomorrow and see if they can keep an eye out.

Thanks for reading the long post guys.

Unfortunately he has not found it yet.

It is a 9'6" Bruce Jones, white belly with yellow rails with a red stripe down the top.

I'll pay a reward if anybody has any information.
