Man its been forever since i have hit the bay fishing. We started off just north of bird island on the king ranch side. the wind was pushing us straight north so we wernt able to drift through all the different depths. tons of dink trout all day. about 9am i got my first sizable fish. first time ever filling my red tag here, she went 29 1/2". a few minutes later my buddy picked up a 23" red.We managed to cover all the way up to just south of pita island. Over all the water was still pretty dirty, bait of choice was live shrimp. one of the slowest days of fishing i have had in a while.

That's a good "slow" day there brother ! Cool

Buy the way, you don't need croakers to catch nice reds or lots of other species. Pinfish are freaking everywhere, and the predator species eat the hell out of 'em!!!! Honestly, i've left the reds biting more than once and was freaking worn out from reeling them in on 2-3" pinfish! Very Happy
