Hot Spot maps can only get you so far. Is there an electronic type map you can buy and download to view on your computer so that you can get accurate coordinates?

I have a neighbor that wants to go to Ranzell's Rocks, for example, but we can only estimate the coordinates by reading the map. The legend doesn't list that point or other interesting points he wants to go to. So, is there some kind of program you can buy that will help you find wrecks and get accurate coordinates? An electronic interactive download copy of the Hot Spot map would be awesome.

We use Hilton's Real time Navigator and love it. There is also Ripcharts. I believe they both have a free demo you can check out. A lot more than a map but worth every penny when running offshore.

Yes. How much detail do you want and how many dead presidents do you have to spend?

$200 - $300 at most. Is that reasonable?

An example of the detail required is being able to find some of the spots that we found on a Hot Spot map:

Ranzell Rocks

28 Fathom Rock

94 Fathom Wreck

28 Fathom Scattered Wreck

If you can find all those (just south of Baffin), that would be good.

You can get a Hilton's subscription for that price if memory serves.

Worth every penny, since you can also see water color, temperature, salinity, etc to make finding temperature breaks and rips much easier.

There's also a built-in trip calculator, which helps when figuring out how far it is to any spot, and for planning longer days/overnight trips with multiple stops at different spots.

Awesome! I might download the free trial version before showing it to my friend.
