Went out for my last real fishing weekend probably. Friday we were catching kings on top waters. We got too meet Tow Boat Trash and watch the end of a high speed chase where the sand starts!! Saturday we hit the ant hills for the last day of AJ season, the bait of choice was a sharpened spear! Sunday we hit some of the Baker rigs... The snapper voraciously hit anything, as did the mahi... Again the cobia preferred the taste of steel!
Epic weekend for sure!!!
Saturday
Sunday..
I'm really going to miss this place! 😟 |

Man, what a great report. Was it snapper or amberjack that you were tasting with the sriracha and soy? I've never had AJ sushi, or cobia for that matter. _________________ ...if my boss ever finds this forum I'll be unemployed... |

Man, what a meat haul !!! I'm envious of having all that AJ in the freezer too! _________________ Dave

Yes, I'm moving to the OBX of NC on the 22nd.
We always set up the sashimi plate when cleaning fish. In the pic we are about to clean a ling, it's a tad chewy unless you get very thin pieces.
I'm slowly piecing together a video to come later this week. |

| Well Good Luck to you. I'm guessing you are a Coast Guard rescue swimmer or pilot. Thanks for making the waters safer. It sounds like you'll be able to find the adventure no matter where you are. I am sure the forum will enjoy fishing reports from the OBX. |
