So...Went out to the cabin and boxed a nice box of fish on the sail line and the boys throwing lures under the lights in 35 mph winds. Woke up three times to check on the boat and all good. Come morning, business as usual and all is well. Around 11am, neil says did the boys take the boat? I said they better not have (they are 10 and 11)...Looked out and there she goes. Tried to catch it but in that wind my efforts were futile.

Went out behind the cabin and flagged down a boat. The guys were awesome and gave neil a ride to go get it. The power pole was down and the rope rubbed so much it broke off. All my fault, this was the first and last time I did not put the anchor out in addition to everything else.

Offered to pay them some cash and cold beer but they were having none of that. All they said was and I quote "been there done that"....Thank you again. In my years I can say that the majority of guys who dod what we do are good people! Still blaming my buddy for not tying it off correctly. LOL

Other boaters are only a-holes when you're fishing, when help is needed even they help most of the time in my experience
