| We are going to PINS next weekend for a sorta kinda day trip. We'll be there at least 20 hours. Anyway it has been a while since we fished there seriously. I have been with the family on a number of occasions for a few hours at a time, but not more than 1/2 a day. Question I have is regarding CB radios. Does anyone use them on the beach, and if so is there a standard channel that everyone stays on? We look forward to a good time regardless of the weather or luck but it would be nice to have a back up to the spotty cell phone signal. Thanks! |

CB Channel 1 is what the beachgoers use. Lately the traffic on the radio has been sparse. At least when I had a vehicle it was sparse compared to what it had been. It might have been because it was fall and there was less traffic than in the height of summer.
Good Luck!

| Thanks! I'll set it to 1. We will likely get on the beach around midnight, catch a little shut eye south of mm50 and get to fishing at first light. Is it worth trying to pick up live shrimp or should we stick to cut bait and dead shrimp? Sounds like the driving gets pretty bad around mm20? |
