It is access to the Laguna Madre at the 15mm. It can be very good at times and makes a excellent plan B if the beach is weeded out.

If it's your first time going threw the pass, walk it first up to the gravel road to make sure it is passable.

I come down from SA so when I go down there is no turning back. I walk it a little and check it out. I get a running start and don't stop till I'm thru it in 4 HIGH to keep the speed and momentum. I've done it in a light Toyota Tacoma and a 4Runner so for the most part I am never worried about getting stuck because both are so light compared to the full sized trucks. But there is always that chance. But yeah when you make it through the rest is a nice road leading to some good fishing.
