This evening while looking over some flowers in the back yard I got to see my first hummingbird moth. I first thought it was the smallest humming bird I'd ever seen but upon closer inspection it had antennae. Neat stuff you see here in South Texas. I believe it was a White Lined Sphinx.
I'll try to get pictures tonight. Last night all I had was my phone and it didn't work so well.

This is what it looked like, though.

I used to wear out my grandma's flower beds at night, trying to net those puppies at her house on Granada!!! They are beautiful.

The tomato horn worm parent is also in the sphinx family.
