Wondering what everyone's preference chasing the big Uglies on these piers is. I've done well at all 4 but can't figure out which (if any) are more successful

I saw the crowds at the Humble last weekend. I wouldn't want to be in that when a school came through.

I always prefer Red Dot although the crowding can be severe sometimes.

You seem to be sheltered from the wind and weather a little better and the bait shop is well run and clean.

I won't go to Clems because of the drunks I've had problems with in the past.

I haven't fished Cos Way in over 20 years. It was my granddad's go to pier when he was alive. As was the old Oso pier off of Ocean drive.

Marker 37 looks good and I launch the boat there a lot, but it's just not on my radar for pier fishing.

I'm a sucker for 37, fish the backside towards the island. I've never really been let down at that pier and heck I've even caught a snook off that pier Wink

Pier fishing can be a state of mind as much as anything else. Have an experience, build a memory, and go from there. Very Happy

Pier fishing can be pretty "clicky" marker 37 is a bit more calm. If i where to grade them I would say RedDot/Cosway perform better.....which is why it's always packed.

If you don't mind the crowd Red-dot and Cosway are producing more uglies compared to the others. If you're taking the family, Mk 37 would be the place to be.

I would have to say cleanses the better. By 4 it produces the bigger fishif you hit red dot or cos way you're more likely to catch smaller fish bowl when you're out to catch big drum I would have to say clems first market 37 seconds read on causeway I would not fish due to too many people

x2

Don't get me wrong, Ive had great success at Red Dot / and CosWay, but getting there early, setting up on a good spot, only to have someone cast over your shoulder bc they feel entitled to "their spot" sucks.

No disrespect intended to anyone, but just bc you're from the area doesn't mean you can force me or my kid out of the way to get in on the action. The way I see it, the early gull gets the drum...
