I handle our agencies healthcare coverage. Several months ago our agent told me to expect about a 20% increase in May when we renew. Got our rates today from United Healthcare..........41.8% increase!!!! That equals to an increase of just over $200 per employee per month. In the 7 years I have worked here employees have never had an out of pocket increase in what we pay but our agency can't absorb a 41.8% increase.

Same here, I am fortunate to work for a major employer, although my portion of the insurance premiums went up this year exponentially. That is just for my wife and myself. Where are we headed to? Somebody has to pay for the Obomacare programs. Imagine that, the working folks and the successful companies that they work for. I am really not wanting to get political, just stating the facts..........cC

I sincerely believe President Obama's heart is in the right place. Quality healthcare should be an American right available to all.

I couldn't disagree with you more!!!! I have no desire to pay for some lazy, no-good, slacker, POS's health care - or anything else for them for that matter (including food, clothing and a place to lay their lazy, worthless asses down). If you and Odumbo's hearts are so much in the right place, then you and Odumbo need to pay for it and quit stealing (yes - I said stealing!!) from me and others who actually work for a living.

I believe what I earn is mine to keep and use as I see fit. It is not a slush fund for Odumbo and like minded dipsticks. Evil or Very Mad

You wouldn't be part of the 47% by chance, would you????

Hang on to your wallet. It's gonna get worse. In addition to your rates going through the roof you can expect another tax hike. The rate hikes are not going to cover all the costs of insuring the worthless 47%.

He pretty much laid it out there.

I've been paying my way for the last 39 years I have been in the work force. I'm not sure what the 47% is, but if you are in the other 53% then I'm prob in the 47.

I won't respond further than saying that your statement just pretty much proved your ignorance.

We, as a benevolent people, should be willing to help those with a legitimate need. Abuse of the system should not be tolerated, but we still should help those in need. Is it the children's fault? Are they to blame for the actions of their parents? Food, clothing and healthcare should be a guarantee in our country for those who truly need them.

so the billions that have been spent on free clinics aren't good enough for someone who isn't paying? there has been "free" healthcare for decades. This game of the government getting into insurance is a power grab, plain and simple.

My company provided Blue Cross pays for the "Silver" option. It has a $6000 deductible so I am now paying 130 a month more for the "Gold" with a $1000 deductible.

Our healthcare system certainly has problems and not all of them originate from the president's desk.
