| My father and I fished for a few hours earlier today. We first tried the surf north of Packery and couldn't loose a shrimp. We then tried Packery Jetties for 30 minutes or so and caught nothing but a lot of Pigfish and an undersized Sheepshead. Then we headed to the surf at the bowl south of Bob Hall and filled the cooler with a lot of big Whiting in an hour. Completely different than our Tuesday trip where we couldn't loose a shrimp at the bowl and caught a lot of Whiting north of Packery. We haven't caught any Drum or Reds in the surf for a few weeks now, but we got a good amount of Drum and Sheepshead at OSO near the college not long ago. Everything has come off peeled dead shrimp or ghost shrimp. |

thanks for the report. Certainly has been a little slow on the rocks as of late. Waiting for the big sheeps to start showing their faces at the jetties. It was mid February through march last year, so I guess I'm just being impatient. _________________ ...if my boss ever finds this forum I'll be unemployed... |
