Left SA Friday morning and got to the Bluff around noon. Launched out of Marker 37 and headed straight to the Boat Hole, nothing. Coming back from the Boat Hole I take a left in the channel with all the floaters and my little boy yells look and as I turn to look I somehow manage to snap my ignition key with my thigh and I didn't have a spare. A piece of the key was still stuck in the ignition so I got lucky and got it started. Made it back to the boat ramp and started calling boat shops at 3:30 pm. Ronnie's Marine didn't have it. Called Portland Marine, no answer. Gulfcoast Marine kept going to voice mail. So I decide just to go to Gulfcoast and to my luck they had it and I bought two. Very Happy Back to the boat ramp and fished till dark with nothing to show. I told myself I wasn't gonna stay at the Motel6 at Ennis Joslin but I figured with it being winter how bad can it be. Well about midnight 20-30 cops show up and it ends up being a murder suspect was on the run and had been there, it was crazy. Got up early Saturday and fished the Boat Hole, Humble, Pita, and Beachcroft's, I think that's the name of the are south of Pita. I threw arties in glow, strawberry, plum/chartreuse, pearl. I fished shallow, deep, drops offs and nothing. Still love being there and ready to do it again. Very eventful two days.

Fish or not, time on the water with kids is awesome. I fished a few spots Friday without any bites, then found some reds concentrated in one small area in about 3-4' of water with scattered grass. Dragging the lure slow worked that day.

The Backyard sucks right now. pm me next trip maybe I can help you out on some inside reports. That's along way to travel for no fish, yes a good time with the kids that's for sure.
