What a great way to bring in the new year. Plans where to get some time on my new to me boat and replace a burnt toggle switch on our fish camp generator. Not many oyster boats out so we got on some shell at a pinch point with strong outgoing tides. Water was so clear it was hard a little freaky driving in two feet of water that looked like 10". Water temp had just dropped to 48 from previous day of 52 and high was 56 with chance of light rains. First stop was only stop. Started out all were 14.9999 inches then the nicer trout moved in and it was on fire. I really need to change the croaker soaker name since I'm hooked on winter fishing with soft plastics.

Your skag says, "you're doing it right." Very Happy

Is your hull floating in gin? That's clear agua.

And lastly...fish. Yeah baby!

Good luck with the shed contraption. Is that from a 1940 Ford?

Very nice stringer of fish, Ive notitice the water level has been low lately.wich happens durring this time of year, I get to see the bay water from cc to portland a few times a week and it just looks gorgeous most of the time with the north wind blowing it just gets that water super green. Havent been fishing my self but seeing your catch just gets my blood
flowing. Maybe its time to hit the water again, Thanks for the report. Cool

Its 13 years old. No idea what a skeg should look like after that age but it has been well maintained, but my buddy did learn the area with a map and a lot of trial and error. Lol

That generator is purring like a kitten. It was wired to the battery(fan, battery charger and Murphy valve) we put three toggle switches so you don't have to disconnect wire from battery every time. The fun is holding compression lever while crank starting it with the other hand. Runs camp on 4-5 gallons of diesel a day and about a half quart of oil per day.

I like things that withstand the test of time. You've got some good systems going. I may be just a tad envious. Thanks for the report and great pictures.

It's just some Morgan buildings but it makes for a great deal when you can get in ac or fish late stay the night and do an am fish before heading back.
Bonus it's on about 900 acres and is loaded with hogs so it may be a cast n blast before summer gets here(too many rattlesnakes to walk in that tall grass in summer)
