Aww come on y'all, it's global warming!!!!!!!!
What a load of crap! I've lived in Arkansas for a little over 40 years now, and these last two winters have been brutal for around here, with the projected high of 17-20 degrees for Monday being colder than I can remember for "highs" in that whole time, for any month. Cripes, this winter is only 13 days old!
We had a respite for a few years before that with warmer than average winters, but it's weather, and weather goes in cycles and is chaos.
Cover your citrus trees and head for the trout holes folks! wink: _________________ Dave

I'm kind of a lurker here on the board. I visit CC at least twice a year and PINS is one of my favorite places. Don't feel too bad, here is the forecast at my house for the next 5 days. Duluth, MN.
Sorry, link not working, any way 1/5/14 High -15 Low -29 |

bfriday really puts things in perspective. The folks down in the Rio Grande Valley complain when it gets below 60 degrees. _________________

Everything is relative, it's SUPPOSED to be frigid in the sub polar hinterlands, not in central Arkansas or South Texas!!!! _________________ Dave

It happens very seldom in Flour Bluff, but for the most part, since mid November for foundations to hold in the cold...there is something to be said. It just feels colder than normal.
Which really $ucked on New Years. Stan would not shiver AND fry fish at the same time. Very sad times here in the Bluff.
Happy New Year Landlocked!! _________________

Mr. Dale just forecasted for a low of 29 Tuesday morning. I second that this cold weather is getting old, but I do like my low electric bills lately though. _________________ You won't know if you don't go! |

Don't know how many houses down there have heat or gas heat, but with the lower electric hills come higher gas bills. We keep or house pretty darn fool in winter (67-68 daytime, 65 at night) and the converse in summer to save money and be more acclimated when working outside. Even at that, last month's gas bill was $95, and it's been far colder for longer spells for the next billing period!!! _________________ Dave
