Well its been slow and figured I would share my weekend experience if you could use a laugh. If we can't laugh at our selves then we are no fun.
Mid day start and it did not warm up. Launched at Marker 37 and waded Kates with only 4 rat reds to show. Headed to boat hole and set the Power Pole. The pole just seemed to not get that bite. So I went over and decided to step on that pole to sink it in just a bit. Gave it a nice push with my foot and I lost my footing. Don't think I ever had it and went in shoulders first. Water found its way over the collar and into the waders. That about ended the trip and called it a day.
Now to see why the Power Pole isn't spiking down with some force like my old one.
Have a great day.

Somebody upstairs was telling you to "Chill", and not just figuratively.
Sometimes, you just have to laugh at yourself.
I sometimes wonder why we do some of the silly things we do. Usually don't think they are silly until proven that it is.

Nice man - gotta love those mornings.
Had one a few weeks ago. Forgot the bait bucket and stringer at home. Turned around halfway there to get them. Get to the bait stand - no shrimp. Get to the first wade spot - already 4 cars there. Get to the 2nd spot, suit up, walk in. Get to about thigh deep - waders have HUGE leaks in both thighs, soaking me instantly to the core!
Man upstairs definitely telling me to 'chill' that day. _________________ ...if my boss ever finds this forum I'll be unemployed... |

Been there, my Dad used to say, "A smart man WILL change his mind, a dumb one won't"...I for one can still be dumb at times... |

Great experience....maybe not. I have had the exact opposite happen. Ready to leave and the PP would not extract from the mud/muck. Went to the bow to jump up and down a bit while Gilligan hit "up" on the pole. Bow was slick. You know the rest. Quite the three hour tour. _________________

| It's amazing how something that seems to be such a good idea can turn out to be such a dumb one. Done so on too many occasions. |
