Some of ya'll know I have been on vacation this week. Well this morning im at the deer lease and had just finished up a morning hunt. Got back to camp and went to get something out of my pack I carry around with me. Reached in and surprisingly felt something cold and moving!!!! I am getting to old for surprises like this!!!!!!

What kind of snake is it? Markings look like a Great Plains Rat Snake, but head looks kind of triangular.

Difficult to tell on my phone, but almost looks like a dull colored copperhead.

I think it was cobra!!! Or maybe a black mamba!!!!! Shocked Shocked Shocked

Im no snake expert but I was told it was a small rat snake. I'm really not a snake hater, I pretty much let them do their own thing as long as they follow the rules. Don't try and bite me! Don't scare my girls or try to live in my trailer or stands. And you dang sure better not be all cozy in something I just took off my back 10 minutes before!!!!!! Shocked

Funny thing is we have had tons of shed skins in and around our trailers this year. Haven't seen a whole lot of live ones lately but lots of the skins....

WOW ! As old Fred G. Sanford would have said looking up to the heavens, "here I Come Elizabeth, it's tha big one !" If that were me, and I did not end up going to the heavens, it darned sure would have taken quiet a few years off of my life..................cC
