Will considering you didn't say where you would be fishing with them, I'm going to say yes. And if they had all the safety gear I don't see why swimming would be a big concern.

Yes/ I take my uncle offshore all the time. With his Parkinson's I doubt he could even stay afloat.

That's what life jackets are for. Wink

Yes. Swimmers get in trouble too, sometimes taking risks a non-swimmer would never take.

All joking aside, "Yes!". I'm curious, why the question? When I take new friends in the bay, I always ask if they can swim as we leave the dock.

My Dad couldn't swim a lick. We fished all my life from a small boat in all sorts of weather. My wife can't swim and she has sailed on our sloop and fishes with me in my bay boat anytime she likes. No problem. But these are probably the two most fearless people I've known. That is why I call her the War Dept. My Dad is 95 and he could still kick my supple bum.

So being on the water is about common sense and being prepared. No matter who is on the water with you.

Yes I would and if I didn't like them I would fish deeper rougher waters. However most of the places I fish if you were to fall overboard you could just stand up and get back in the boat.

Yes I would. They would be wearing PFD the whole time but that's just good practice...

I wish my wife would have gone. She was afraid of water. After they told us she had less then a month to live I asked her hey you want to go fishing now? She said hell no I am not going on that boat.....was kind of funny

I cant swim. Took lessons as a kid and have practiced over and over in a pool. Nothing, sink like a rock. I can free dive really well but just once. I use to never wear my PFD until I picked up offshore fishing. Now its ALWAYS on even in the shallow bays. Even when I'm on a large boat with friends on a calm lake. Ill be wearing my PFD.
