Headed to the jetty first to see if I can drum up some red drum. Giving it an hour if nothing then on to my usual spots.

Well.... That was very uneventfull. Too say the least. Ran to the south jetty in port A, ( I fish a flats boat) the tide was rippin! Could not get on the hook so I decided to just drift it, REAL QUICK! Made it fro the mouth to the slop in about 4.2 min.. So decide to brave it and head to dagger. Caught one right at 14 3/4" trout, then the clueless fisherman arrived, trolled within casting distance then got the spike out and drove it in the ground. Not bitchin, but seriously, not a boat for a mile in each direction, I catch one little trout and you come steaming in. Whatever. By the way, board shorts, flip flops and a hoodie, was NOT, proper attire this morning.

Might add, I've only been in s. Texas for about 6 months now, love the people and love the fishin!! I've been from Arkansas to SoCal, best people in the states right here! If I'm a gonna say!!! I ain't goin nowhere!
