|
|
Some of y'all might remember the run in I had in July with a massive Tarpon that would have challenged the state record. W[url]ell its taken 3 months but I have finally finished the video of everything that went down that trip. A big thanks to Glenn (prof. salt) for providing the end clip, and my brother Robert for sticking with me during the fight as long as he did. I was beyond lucky with this catch. Everything fell into place perfectly.
-Made the trip on a whim.
-Turned around from mayan princess to head over to bob hall
-Robert got their late which let him run into jacks on the beach
-When Glenn and bert decided to leave the rig and play with jacks I reluctantly went with them
-It hit on my heavy setup with plenty of power
-The fish took to open water rather than tow me into Bob hall pier.
Thanks for y'alls patience while I finished it and I will be posting more videos in the near future regarding kayak fishing, watch in HD if you can... Life is good

I am speechless. Very few have "The Touch" like you do. Just close your eyes and always trust your feelings. The "Force" is very strong with you, my friend! |

Thanks for the kind words y'all. To be clear the fish was landed.
Took me 4+ miles. At first he went north down the beach about a mile then east out into the gulf between the two rigs out there. Did a few donuts until it decided to head towards the standpipe. _________________

That is intense!
Best part of fishing the salt is that you never know what might be out there. The old sailors had it right..."There be monsters in y'seas."
Thanks for sharing the video - it definitely brought your story to life all the way through the battle. I also liked that you explained your judgment for safety while pushing the limit. |

| This is amazing. After seeing this, I'm glad I couldn't get the ones in Florida to touch what I had. When I went to Islamorada for my graduation trip, we rented kayaks and I was dead set on hooking into one. I knew I couldn't land one but I had no problem taking a swim in the bay. They were all 5+ foot but wouldn't touch a thing I had. You are an idol man, keep it up |
