I just watched a barge pull up one of the green floating buoy markers and replace it with a green marker pole set in the ground. Wonder if they are doing this up and down the length of the ICW? If so, I wonder if they
are retrieving all the green floater buoys that have been knocked loose and piled up along the sides of the spoil islands?

The barge you watched was replacing a temporary green buoy that was put in place after a barge knocked down the original day board.
They will replace the day boards and buoys that are out of place or being knocked down up and down the ICW.

As far s picking up the old green floaters and posts, they will pick them up
only if they become a navigational hazard.
