When: Aug 30- Sep1

Where: PINS @ 5 mile marker. Bait yaked out from about 200-350 yards off the beach.

Conditions: Water was green and fairly calm on Friday. Minimal weed. The other days were horrible with tons of weeds and strong current.

What: One 5 to 6 ft Bull shark. 2 small spinner sharks.

Bait: Bull shark- Fresh dead Pompano
Spinner shark- one on pompano and one on live mullet

Equipment:
Penn 113H2 w/ 500 yds of 50lb Power Pro topped with 50lb mono and 2 ft wire leader.

Rig: Mouse trap with 6/0 circle and 6 ounce spider weight.

Buddies Spinner shark

My first Bull shark. Or big shark for that matter

Fought it for about an hour. I am now hooked and can't wait to catch a bigger shark.

Also fished Packery Channel 1 Sep and the Macks were destroying bait fish on the surf side. Casted a Silver spoon and caught about 4 small macks. Channel side was full of weeds.

Nice report! I like the organization Smile

I can corroborate the smack-attack at packery. We launched kayaks from just north of the jetty and put ourselves in the middle of the skippy/smack/anchovy slaughter. It was fun. Dodging a-hole jetskiers was not.
