My son is in town from NM and there are requests from NM for fish. Went out today about 7AM and hit 2 min. HH. Threw topwaters and picked up two reds 22" and 25" and a trout 26". Boats started showing up all over the place. lot of traffic for a Wed. Got another 9 trout and came home.

Actually, trolled home. For some reason my gear shift at times doesn't go into neutral and I can't start the motor. I am motor ignorant. Any suggestions what I can do other than pay for a mechanic to come over.

Here is my catch minus 2 trout. Mary had the camera and I had 2 fish cleaned when she got home.

These next 2 pics are at least 50 hardheads attacking the remains of the fish I was cleaning.

I think that should be enough fish to hold him for a while, until I head up there in Nov.

Oh man that is awesome - the report plus the hardhead shots. Would love to see a video of that - Discovery Channel "HARDHEAD WEEK"

You're spoiling em out there.
Are you a fan of the "LONGMIRE " TV series, on A&E? It is filmed in NM. series also stars FB alum, Lou Diamond Phillips.

No. Watched it a couple of times didn't get into it. Another series "Hell on Wheels" and Breaking Bad also filmed there.

New Mexico is very friendly to film crews and they offer many incentives for these companies to film in NM. My buddy coaches at Las Lunas where a lot of the scenes for Breaking Bad are shot.
Hell on Wheels is beautiful scenery but is for the most part shot in and around Calgary, Canada as the original producers were partners with a Canadian production company.
Nice fish. Are you bringing back some trout from the upper Rio? Moonsoon rains in NM are hopefully helping their waterways.

Hey mickeyd, had a great fishing summer in NM. Fished the box around Taos and did real well on rainbows and browns.

In Nov am going back and am going to snag kokanees at Heron.

I think my old coaching buddy from Alamogordo is going to be up in the Farmington area about that same time. He likes to go to Navajo Lake and maybe one another for that same type of fishing.
My favorite used to be those transplanted Dolly Varden up around Chama and points that La Raza used to occupy.
Looking forward to your pics when you come back.
