Finally....Texas!! Been a long ride to New England so my husband could visit his family and friends this summer, but I'm excited about being back to the Corpus Christi area again and doing some saltwater fishing!!! This is the first time since I can't remember when that I have NO FISH in my freezer. If I remember correctly, the last of the fish was cooked in New Hampshire. I'm soooo anxious to taste deepfried redfish again. We are scheduled to be in Aransas Pass for 2 months beginning Sept. 1 and will be checking in on our doctors there. When not doctoring, my lines will be wet and hopefully tight!!
OH heart be still, I can hardly wait......... Hey, guys, don't catch 'em all, OK?

Welcome back. You should be able to get a few Reds in the bay before they head out to the jetties and eventually to the surf. Good luck. I'm laid up after surgery and won't be able to fish for another couple of months.

We stayed at Moody Beach for 2 weeks while in Maine and did all the touristy stuff. I did go on a deep sea boat and caught cod, cusk, pollock and others, all too small to keep. The deck hand felt sorry for me and gave me some of the fish others didn't want. When I took them home to clean, I found so many WORMS in 'em I couldn't even think about eating it. At least 3 worms in every square inch of meat....UGH!!! I was told I should have gone earlier in the springtime when the water was still cold????

We did buy a dozen lobsters for $50 off the lobster boat! Delicious!!!
