I've got a street bike and planning to start doing a few fun runs, get off work here in SA at 2am and head straight down for a morning wade and then ride back home. I need to park that bike on concrete or hard parking lot though, so I'm kind of at a loss as to where to go. I think I can park in Bird Island Basin and wade out from there, was also looking at the road near Portland/Nueces Bay but that looks like sand along the sides??? Basically looking for some help as to where to park that bike when I head out somewhere within walking distance of a decent wading shoreline. My old cruiser I wouldn't mind so much, but this is a sport bike and I'm not interested in getting sand all over it's cracks and crevices. Chances are I'll be 100% catch & release, not planning to have to pack a fillet knife and cooler. _________________ JJ |

Get a 1' x1' piece of plywood. Put that under the kick stand. It will keep it from sinking in the sand.
Sounds like fun. |

Yeah I suppose that's always an option, but I'm more looking for a place where I can park on the concrete and head out for a wade. This bike is only 400 lbs though so it probly wouldn't be there when I got back anyway. _________________ JJ |

I bought a nice Charkbait travel rod, but turns out I'm not gonna need it afterall.
