Hey!!! Just wanted to let everyone know I have re-opened the Oso Fishing Pier! You can check us out on Facebook! Our fan page is : The Oso Pier, and friend request Oso Fishing Pier. Our temporary hours during our time of continuing improvements are :

Mon- Thurs: 5 pm to Midnight
Fri. - Sun. : 5 pm to 3 a.m.

Children 12 and under permitted free entry!
$2 per person and $2 per rod!

We have snacks and drinks! And a small variety of bait.

Every customer coming in really helps our budget for the continuous improvement of the historic Oso pier! Due to a lack of funds, we are working to improve the place however moving slow! More business means, more improvements, which means better fishing for you, our customer!

I'm 51 years of age and I remember fishing oso pier as a young teenager. For the last 4 years my some has attended tamucc and I often wished on my visits that the pier was open. I have some good memories of my nights spent fishing on it. I am so happy you reopened it and I wish you the best of luck. My son is now a permanent islander and I will fish the pier even if its just for old time sakes.
