Quick PINS report for everyone from the weekend... We headed down from Austin and camped at the 29 in PINS. Driving was decent except a few mushy spots, but in general, it was fine. The water was pristine and warm where we were, but some reports had cooler water further south. There were pony mullet in the surf, and bait sized whiting in the cast nets. We caught what seemed like a hundred small/medium whiting, and a pup hammer that was released just fine, but no hookups on the shark baits. We deployed past the 3rd bar for every drop. Friday night showed the horizon absolutely lit with shrimp boats so I figured our chances would be slim, and not a click the whole weekend. Overall, conditions were perfect and the moon rise Friday and Saturday nights were nothing short of beautiful - worth the trip by itself ! Hope everyone has a blessed week.
