Very expensive lesson there.

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess: Alcohol related.

Things tend to get a bit crazy, on weekends, but that is without a doubt totally out of control.
But an excellent picture!

Apparently booze was involved. Buddy said the guy was very sloppy, and the crowd was ready to open a can of whoop on him, but the GW got there before that happened. Im gonna guess he hit a wake the wrong way at speed, was tossed out the boat, and into the dune it went. Very lucky nobody was hit by the boat or anyone else was onboard. Lots of youngins out in those canals on the weekends.

That area is known for wild parties and lots of drinking, so the accident there isn't surprising.

That's one of them there new Tiburon boats from the Bluff, suppose to be the latest and greatest in hull technology, rides on air bubbles generated by the hull. suppose to be super shallow, efficient and fast. only heard of 2 being built so far. Gonna keep an eye out for this one on Craigslist, " new tiburon boat, slightly used, jus got it broke in"

I think I have seen that boat parked right there off the main canal. There is a nice aqua off shore boat there too. I was wondering what kind of boat that was.

In the first pic, the boat in the back looks like some sort of rescue boat. They have what looks to be a backboard, etc. I'm just curious if anyone knows what this is. I've never seen it around before.

I'm impressed the hull did not split like a banana. Might have to look at that manufacturer.

I HATE drunks. Mad
