Took the boys out for some surf fishing, water was great, some weed not too bad till around 1pm.



First cast on my 309, birds nest (still new to bait casters) and wouldn't you know i get a bite, and land a nice gafftop while the birds nest is laughing in my face. They boys thought that was funny.

We caught fish most every cast if the weed didn't take the line down the beach first. Shrimp and fishbites green shrimp flavor.

Oldest, landed several whitting & gafftop/hardhead
Youngest one bull whiting good enuff to make a taco with
I landed a gafftop, whittings & a baby pomp

And the best thing of all was "Thanks Dad, that was fun!" that was better than catching any fish in the world.
