The surf was rough, but I could hear the kingfish calling: "Professor,we want to be famous! Come put us on your video. PLEASE!" I hate to disappoint the fish, so I paddled out through ugly surf to get to my babies and it was on. Good kings and a really nice shark found their way to my baits. It was a really fun morning and helped me paddle my way back into summer shape!

The least fun video to make so far this summer? Surf was too big for me to get through, and most small craft were sitting the weather out, so I went out the Port A jetties in search of an alternate path offshore. My kayak is not a small craft, it's a battleship; and Mackerel Mafia won't win Kayak Wars if I don't frequently throw down some points, so I headed out to do my part. This day was brought to you by Dramamine and testosterone.
