Hey guys heading down to corpus for beach to bay and then hopefully i can get some fishing in. Just wanted to ask a few questions on where i can get some spanish mackerel or some nice reds. I heard the Smacks have been at packery and bob hall and reds as well. Should i just use a spoon for the Spanish mackerel and try mullet on the bottom or shrimp for Reds? Anything helps just want to get some fillets to munch on.

We're going to take my uncles boat out today after the race(he just got it) and try fishing spots along thr ICW near the JFK causeway. Its a little john boat that we got for a decent price so we could get acces to other fishing spots. We honestly don't know what spots were going to try and fish its most likely going to be a guess and check. Then tomorrow morning were going to hopefully go the port a jetties and try fishing with everything we got. Free lined shrimp, croaker on the bottom and with a popping cork, mullet or cut mullet on the bottom, shrimp/ fish bites combo, and then a rod with a spoon for some smacks. Just hoping we can get a mess of filets to throw in the freezer.
